leviathan throne
Designed for the visionary world of Guillermo del Toro, Leviathan Throne is a neo-gothic furniture piece that bridges fantasy and form. Drawing inspiration from Hellboy and del Toro’s fascination with myth, the throne’s silhouette rises like a crown; powerful yet intricate, commanding yet intimate. Its deep black structure and crimson accents echo the palette of his home and films, embodying a sense of reverence, darkness, and artistry. Leviathan Throne stands not only as a seat, but as a monument to storytelling where design becomes a vessel for imagination and devotion.
IDEATION —
The ideation phase for this project was intentionally short, with a limited timeframe set to push a faster and more instinctive design process. Instead of extended exploration, I moved quickly from initial ideas into 3D modeling, focusing on defining the structure, proportions, and stability of the piece. This approach allowed the concept to take shape rapidly, leading directly into the construction phase where the design was tested and resolved at full scale.
